1 taken to hospital after shooting with Denver police officers



DENVER (KDVR) — Alameda Avenue is closed near Interstate 25 on Monday morning after police said a “suspect” was apparently injured in a shooting involving Denver police officers.

The Denver Police Department reported the shooting at 9:01 a.m. on X, saying it happened near Alameda Avenue and Lipan Street, which is just to the west of I-25.

The police department said officers were initially responding to the area for a “weapons-related call.”

The “suspect” was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. The police department did not say whether that person was shot or how badly they were injured.

Police also did not say what the person taken to the hospital was suspected of and if they were involved in the original weapons call.

The department did not say to what extent police were involved in the shooting, and if any officers fired their guns.

The department did say no officers were injured.
