Artist visits Denver Zoo ahead of concert at Red Rocks

DENVER (KDVR) — Artists often say it is an honor and a bucket list item to perform at Red Rocks, but one rapper who recently performed there made sure to visit another local landmark first.

Logic, a rapper, singer and songwriter with over 8.5 million listeners on Spotify, was in town over the weekend for his show at Red Rocks on Saturday with Oliver Tree.

On Friday, he and his family made a stop to see all the critters at the Denver Zoo.

The zoo said he visited Salem, a 30-year-old cassowary, met several Animal Ambassadors, held a snake, and met Bigfoot and a fairy.

The zoo said its employees loved sharing their passion for conservation and animal stewardship with the artist and his family and said he was very interested and asked many questions.

“Logic and his group were wonderful, gracious guests. They were very engaged and asked a lot of great questions about our animal care and wildlife conservation work,” a spokesperson for the zoo said in an email to FOX31.

Visiting the zoo is a great way to support its conservation goals. The zoo also has a limited number of free days each year, with the next coming on Nov. 7.
