DENVER (KDVR) — A profound and perfect month for Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz saw him named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Month for October, according to a press release from the Broncos on Thursday.
In October, Lutz did a little bit of everything, excluding a little bit of missing.
Lutz kicked in all four of the Broncos’ wins in a 4-0 October.
| Game | FG made | FG attempted | PATs | Points total |
| Philadelphia Eagles | 2 | 2 | 1 | 7 |
| New York Jets | 2 | 2 | 1 | 7 |
| New York Giants | 1 | 1 | 2 | 5 |
| Dallas Cowboys | 1 | 1 | 5 | 8 |
He took a total of 15 kicks, missing none, scoring six field goals and nine PATs for a total of 27 points scored. Two of those were field goals of 55 yards or more — a 55-yard field goal against the Philadelphia Eagles and a 57-yard field goal against the New York Jets.
Those makes made him the only kicker in the AFC to record at least two field goals of 55 yards or farther.
The Broncos said that he was one of only seven kickers to attempt and convert at least five field goals. His two game-winning field goals led the NFL as well.
His numbers this year have been phenomenal — for the entire season so far, he has made 10-11 field goals and scored every single PAT for 21 points, giving him a total of 51 points between field goals and PATs in 2025.
He ranks in the top-10 in stats, including:
- Extra point percentage: 100% — T-1st
- Extra points made: 21 — T-6th
- Field goal percentage (min. 10 attempts): 90% — 10th
This is the third time Lutz has won the award in his career, and his second with the Broncos after he scored 36 points on 11-11 field goal attempts and 3-4 PATs in November 2023.
Lutz joins Broncos legend Matt Prater as the only kickers to win the award twice while playing for the franchise.
