Deadly motorcycle crash closes I-70 EB in Garfield County



DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado State Patrol officers and personnel are on the scene of a deadly single-vehicle crash that occured on Interstate 70 in Garfield County.

In a post to X, Colorado State Patrol said around 5 p.m. Saturday, the eastbound lanes are closed near milepost 116 on I-70 after a crash, located in the town of Glenwood Springs.

FOX31 reached out to CSP, and a spokesperson for the agency confirmed that it was a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcyclist, who has since been confirmed dead.

CSP said the road is still closed as of 7:35 p.m. and is asking drivers to seek alternate routes.

There is no word on the identification of the motorcyclist who died and what led up to the crash.
