Denver had its hottest November day in history on Sunday

DENVER (KDVR) — Just two days into the month, Denver set a monthly record for the hottest November day on record.

The high temperature at Denver International Airport, where the National Weather Service records temperatures for the city, hit 82 degrees on Sunday. This broke the record of 81 degrees set on Nov. 27, 2017.

According to the Pinpoint Weather team, Sunday was expected the hottest day of the week, with temperatures dropping to the 60s and low 70s for the rest of the week.

Sunday’s high also beat the daily temperature for Nov. 2, which was 78 degrees set in 2008.

There are also clear skies on the horizon, meaning Denver could make another record with the latest first snowfall in history. FOX31’s Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Travis Michels said he doesn’t expect snowfall for at least the next two weeks, around Nov. 13.
