Denver Summit acquires second player ahead of upcoming season

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Summit FC is starting to build out its team ahead of its 2026 debut, signing on a head coach and now, a second player to the roster.

The National Women’s Soccer League in Denver acquired Lourdes Bosch, a 24-year-old attacking midfielder from A-League Women’s club Melbourne City FC.

Bosch was raised in Las Vegas and played collegiate soccer at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and California Baptist University with multiple First Team All-Conference honors and a place on the Hermann Trophy Watchlist in 2023, according to the team.

After going undrafted in 2024, the team said Bosch joined the Australian team in an undefeated regular season, leading the team with nine assists as well as four goals and ultimately landing a call-up to the Mexico women’s national team in 2025.

“I’m incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to be a part of something historic in Denver,” said Bosch. “After my first professional season in Australia, I’ve grown so much on and off the field, and I can’t wait to bring that energy, creativity, and passion to this next chapter. Representing this club and this city is something I’m proud of, and I’m ready to build something special alongside my teammates.”

Denver Summit acquired Bosch for an agreed-upon transfer fee with a contract through 2027, but the team said the terms of the transfer weren’t disclosed.

“Lourdes is an exceptional young talent who brings both creativity and composure in the attacking third,” said Denver Summit FC General Manager Curt Johnson. “She’s already shown the ability to perform on international stages and has the potential to be a cornerstone of our midfield for years to come. We’re thrilled to welcome Lourdes to Denver and believe she embodies the ambition and spirit we’re building this club around.”

Bosch is joining the Denver Summit for the preseason in early 2026, along with the rest of the team, which is beginning to build out. In early August, the team acquired its first player, forward Ally Watt, from Colorado Springs. The team also hired the head coach, Nick Cushing, to the club.
