Denver weather: Cooler weekend with chance of showers

DENVER (KDVR) — The cool down officially begins Saturday, as Denver’s weather forecast shows highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s all weekend long. This is about 10 degrees below average for this time of the year, with isolated storm chances both today and tomorrow.

Weather today: Scattered rain and storms

Saturday features mostly cloudy skies along with isolated rain chances across Denver. There could be a little bit of sunshine by the late morning and early afternoon, but most should remain dry. The stronger, more organized storms will likely stay to the south of us today, with that being said, keep an eye towards the sky for any outdoor plans.

High temperatures will be in the upper 70s with winds shifting out of the northeast anywhere from 5-15 mph.

Weather tonight: Showers fizzle out, partly cloudy

Isolated storm chances continue through around 11 p.m., before it officially dries out. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s, with winds out of the southeast anywhere from 5-10 mph.

Looking ahead: Unseasonably cool and wet

The cool weather isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will be in the lower 70s with widespread rain showers.

The Pinpoint Weather Team is keeping a close eye on the rain potential Monday and Tuesday, as there are signs that there may be heavy enough rainfall to pose flooding concerns for some regions, particularly old burn scars. There could be a couple of inches of rain by the time the rain lets up.

Rain chances calm down by the middle of next week, with temperatures returning to the upper 70s and lower 80s.
