Denver weather: Early showers, late clearing

DENVER (KDVR) – Expect scattered for the first half of the day, before Denver’s weather clears the skies this evening.

Weather today:

Cloudy skies and showers are expected for the mountains and even into the metro area for the first half of the day. Highs in Denver make it to the middle 70s with a light wind. Rain and clouds will begin to clear this evening, leaving some nicer conditions later in the day.

A Flood Watch is in effect for the Western Slope through Sunday morning. Stay aware if you live in flood prone areas and take action if a Warning is issued.

Weather tonight:

Skies will stay mainly clear tonight with a light breeze. Overnight low temperatures will dip into the lower 50s.

Looking ahead:

Sunday finishes off the weekend with a mix of sun and clouds, breezy winds, and mild highs in the lower 70s. The northern mountains can get some snow early Sunday morning and into the midday hours. Monday starts off the next workweek with partly cloudy skies, a brisk wind, and cooler highs in the lower 60s. Tuesday has more partly to mainly sunny skies as highs top out in the upper 60s.

We start to build in more sunshine through mid-week on Wednesday as highs hit the upper 60s. Thursday has even more sunshine as temperatures climb into the lower 70s. The just above average highs in the upper 60s are here to round out the workweek with abundant sunshine.
