Denver weather: More showers before a nicer weekend

DENVER (KDVR) — More clouds and showers are back to end the workweek, but the holiday weekend will dry out with mild temperatures.

Weather today: Night showers

Extra clouds linger across most of the state Friday, with pockets of sunshine across the Eastern Plains. Highs in Denver make it back to the 80-degree mark with light winds. Showers are over the high country from the late morning through the evening.

The Interstate 25 corridor has showers from the afternoon through the early overnight hours. That means Boulder can get some rain at Folsom Field for the Buffs game.

Showers can stick around Friday night, but should begin to taper as it heads past midnight. There will be some partial clearing, but clouds linger. Overnight lows end up in the mid-50s.
