Denver weather: Sunny and mild before an unsettled weekend


DENVER (KDVR) – Mainly sunny skies are here in the Denver weather forecast for the Front Range Thursday, before clouds and scattered showers move in for the weekend.

Weather Thursday: Plenty of sunshine

The morning starts off with pockets of dense fog out across the Eastern plains, as Dense Fog Advisories remain in effect for the highlighted counties until 10 am.

The sunny skies are still here Thursday, helping to warm highs into the lower 80s. Winds will stay light with clouds building over the mountains later in the day.

Weather tonight: Cloudy and comfy

Those clouds stick around tonight and through the weekend, keeping temperatures mild. Overnight lows will stay in the lower 50s with a light south-westerly breeze.

Looking ahead: Scattered showers Fri-Sun

Cloudy skies are here for Friday with scattered showers over the high country. The Front range could see a spotty shower on Friday afternoon as highs are in the middle 70s. Light spotty rain showers are expected through Saturday with mainly cloudy skies. Highs on Saturday are still above average in the middle 70s. Sunday has partly cloudy skies and smaller rain chances, but don’t forget the rain jacket. Highs on Sunday reach the lower 70s.

Monday kicks off the next workweek with mainly sunny skies returning to the forecast. with cooler highs in the upper 60s. Tuesday also has lots of sunshine through the afternoon with mild highs in the lower 70s. Temperatures in the lower 70s stick around for Wednesday as skies stay mainly sunny.
