DENVER (KDVR) – The abundant sunshine from Labor Day will stick around Tuesday afternoon with comfortable temperatures in the middle 80s.

Weather today: Mostly sunny

The sunny skies are still here as most people head back to a shorter workweek. Temperatures are close to seasonal averages in the middle 80s with a light northerly wind. There will be some extra clouds over the foothills and southern Colorado, where there also can be a light shower.

Weather tonight: Clear skies

The skies stay clear Tuesday night as temperatures stay close to seasonal averages in the middle 50s. A light wind will start to pick up through the early morning hours of Wednesday.

Looking ahead: Comfy and mostly dry

Wednesday will be a brisk afternoon with a light breeze out of the north. Skies stay mainly sunny on Wednesday with mild highs in the lower 80s. Thursday should be the hottest day of the week with sunny skies and highs in the upper 80s. Friday finishes off the workweek with extra clouds, small storm chances and highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday begins the weekend with partly cloudy skies, small storm chances and highs in the lower 80s.
