Denver weather: Sunny but breezy Saturday

DENVER (KDVR) — The last weekend of September is here and the Denver weather forecast is looking nice to get outside with above average temps and dry conditions, for the most part.

There could be an isolated shower on Sunday and Monday, but most will remain dry.

Colorado State University and CU Boulder both play football at home Saturday, and the weather looks good for both games. It will likely be breezier in Fort Collins for their game against Washington State.

Weather today: Breezy with sun

Sunny skies dominate the forecast Saturday, as high temperatures max out in the upper 70s nearing 80 degrees. Winds will be breezy at times with sustained winds out of the southeast anywhere from 10-20 miles per hour, and gusts as high as 25 miles per hour.

Weather tonight: Mostly clear skies

Saturday night features partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with lows in the middle to lower 50s. Winds will be out of the south anywhere from 10-20 miles per hour

Looking ahead: Queit start to October

There will be some isolated showers and a storm or two in the Denver metro area tomorrow afternoon, meanwhile the mountains will see scattered afternoon showers and storms. Those looking to go to the mountains to go leaf peeping should keep that in mind.

Monday also has a continued chance for a few isolated showers, though most areas should stay dry. The Broncos are at home Monday night, but the forecast still looks mostly dry for the time being.

Highs will be in the upper 70s. October begins on Wednesday and warm temperatures in the upper 70s persist into the first weekend of the new month.
