DENVER (KDVR) — Although October has been unseasonably warm through the first half of the month, the Denver weather forecast does feature a few days of cooler temperatures closer to seasonal values. Winds, however, will stay a bit breezy.
Weather tonight: Showers for some

Spotty showers and even a few thunderstorms will be possible through the first part of the overnight period. The high country can expect to see rain and snow, though accumulations should be light for areas above 8,000 feet. Winds stay gusty overnight with gusts approaching 30 miles per hour at times.
Weather tomorrow: A cooler day

Thursday will be much cooler with highs in the upper 60s, which is seasonal for this time of the year. Winds won’t be as gusty either, but it will certainly feel cool with north-northwest winds up to 20 miles per hour. Skies will be mostly sunny.
Looking ahead: Very nice for the weekend
Sunny and dry weather is forecast for this weekend, but temperatures will vary. Saturday will be cool and breezy with highs in the low 60s. It’ll jump into the low and middle 70s Sunday, making for great football weather.

The next change in the forecast comes early next week with a cold front set to arrive sometime Monday. Winds will pick up again, and areas may see some showers in the lower elevations with rain and snow possible in the high country. For now, precipitation totals for Denver don’t look very healthy, while the mountains may see some snow accumulation. Temperatures are set to drop back into the low/middle 60s next week.
