DENVER (KDVR) — Clouds have been moving across Colorado and Denver weather on Friday as moisture slowly drifts back into the state ahead of our next weather system. There will be some scattered mountain showers both Saturday and Sunday. A few of those showers could slip down across metro Denver and the Front Range over the weekend. It’s a low chance of rain at lower elevation, including Denver. And, despite the clouds, it will be warm both days with readings close to 80 degrees according to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast.

Weather tonight: Some clouds and comfortable
Skies will stay partly to mostly cloudy overnight across the state. The wind will be light and from a southerly direction. We will have low temperatures in the comfortable 50s across most of the eastern half of the state, including metro Denver. There will be a chill in the air in the mountains with some places getting into the 30s overnight.

Weather tomorrow: Some sun with a few showers
There will be some sunshine on Saturday with a few showers or thunderstorms in the Colorado mountains. A stray shower or two could drift off the higher terrain and reach the Front Range and metro Denver. Temperatures will stay just above the seasonal average with readings expected in the low 80s across the eastern plains and 60s to 70s in the high country.

Looking ahead: Rain chances and cooler next week
The low chance for a few showers will continue on Sunday afternoon for metro Denver. Fall arrives on Monday and with it a storm system that will slide a cold front south across the Front Range and cool temperatures to the 70s, then 60s for the start of the work week. There will also be a chance for showers especially later on Monday and into Tuesday.

We will dry out on Wednesday through Friday and temperatures will slowly warm back into the 70s and could reach seasonal levels in the upper 70s by Friday.
