EPSO investigating suspicious death in Stratmoor Hills

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) held a press briefing on Friday to provide more information on the suspicious death in Stratmoor Hills.

According to EPSO, a 911 call was received shortly before 3 p.m. on Friday requesting medical assistance in the 4000 block of Loomis Avenue. EPSO said the Stratmoor Hills Fire Department responded, and when fire crews arrived, they found a deceased adult woman.

EPSO said emergency responders deemed the scene suspicious and requested law enforcement. EPSO responded and began an investigation. It is early in the investigation, but EPSO said there is no known threat to the community.

EPSO said law enforcement will be on scene in the area for several hours, possibly overnight.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) is investigating a suspicious death in the Stratmoor Hills area.

EPSO posted about the suspicious death shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, and said law enforcement was in the area of Loomis Avenue, off B Street and South Academy.
