DENVER (KDVR) — A flight from the Denver International Airport to Toronto returned to the airport after an “acrid” odor was reported in a galley area, Air Canada told FOX31 in a statement on Sunday afternoon.
The passengers were on Air Canada flight 1038, operated by an Airbus A220 from Denver to Toronto.
The flight landed safely back at DIA, and 117 passengers plus five crew evacuated the plane on emergency slides as a precaution, the airline said.
One passenger sustained a minor injury during the evacuation.
A bus took the evacuated passengers back to the terminal, where they would wait while the airline made alternate arrangements for their travel.
