DENVER (KDVR) — A kid getting their first bike is a staple day in their lives. The day they can finally travel at a speed faster than running on their own — what a rush.
If you want to be someone who helps provide that opportunity to a kid, Longmont fire stations are accepting donations for children’s bikes that will be fixed up and given to other children in the spring.
The only definitive rule is that the bike’s wheel sizes must be between 12 inches to 24 inches, but functional bikes, even those with flat tires, are preferred.
Once donated, a group of volunteers will get the bikes ready to be redistributed when the weather warms up next year.
