DENVER (KDVR) — Two hikers and their dogs had to be rescued on Sunday evening, a spokesperson for the Douglas County Search and Rescue team told FOX31.
The hikers were on the Indian Creek Trail system before getting lost.
Douglas County Search and Rescue sent a group of various teams, including:
- Foot teams
- K-9 teams
- ATV teams
- Drone teams
After a few hours of searching, the rescue team was able to locate the lost hikers and gave them a ride back to the entrance of the trail.
The hikers and their dogs were okay, the rescue team said.
All rescue team members were also able to return safely.
