Man sentenced to 19 years after pleading guilty to 2 counts of pimping in Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — A man who pleaded guilty on Aug. 11 to two counts of pimping was sentenced Friday to 19 years in prison for his actions.

Stefon Flowers was accused of coercing at least four women to participate in a prostitution for financial gain scheme between September and November of 2023. Prosecutors said that Flowers posted ads online that included photos that he forced the women to take.

“Stefon Flowers preyed upon vulnerable women to satisfy his own greed. As his sentence shows, if you engage in human trafficking in Denver, you will be caught and prosecuted, and pay a heavy price under the law,” said District Attorney John Walsh.

“I want to honor and highlight the crucial role of the victims in this case, whose courage in coming forward led to Flowers’ arrest and prosecution,” Walsh added. “I also want to thank the prosecutors, investigators and victim advocates in my office, as well as the detectives with the Denver Police Department, whose outstanding work brought about the case’s successful resolution.”

An arrest affidavit detailed interviews with Flowers’ victims, who shared how Flowers would be nearby with a gun while “incall” dates were held inside, to ensure the victims would not escape.

As buyers responded, Flowers would set up the date, deliver the women to the location and then wait in the car while the “date” happened. He removed any control that the women had by threatening them if they did not behave as he instructed, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

After the “dates,” Flowers then required the women to give him at least part of the money made from the interaction.
