DENVER (KDVR) — Police appear to be searching a Wheat Ridge neighborhood as of Friday evening at about 6:15 p.m.
SkyFOX flew over the scene where officers were visible near the intersection of 44th and Jellison Street.
Police also appeared to be in a nearby neighborhood, where they were in residential backyards and also appeared to be looking into Clear Creek during their search, even driving police cruisers onto the nearby walking path.
Some officers could be seen holding long guns and a K-9 unit was also visible.
Police units were also seen at a used car dealership at the corner of 44th Avenue and Kipling Street. It’s unclear if that’s connected.
FOX31 is sending a photojournalist to the scene to learn more about why police are in the area, if there is any danger to the public and if there are any suspects to be aware of. This article will be updated as information is gathered.
