On Saturday evening, both the sheriff’s office and the police department confirmed a person had died after they fell.

The Clear Creek Advocates had also responded to assist climbers who witnessed the incident, said the Idaho Springs department.

“Our thoughts are with the people affected and with the family and friends of the victim,” said the Idaho Springs Police Department on Facebook.

There is no information at this time on the events that led up to the incident or the exact location but the department said the fall is currently under investigation.
