DENVER (KDVR) — The Regional Transportation District is adding train cars to regular scheduled service on the D, E and W Lines before and after a Paul McCartney concert at Coors Field on Saturday, Oct. 11.
The additional train cars are being added to support an “expected increase in ridership” during the event, which will be near a number of rail lines and bus routes at the nearby Denver Union Station, RTD said Tuesday.
“The venue’s close proximity to … Denver Union Station makes taking public transit a safe and convenient way to attend the event,” the agency said in a release.
RTD said the added lines will directly serve Union Station and that buses and trains will operate their Saturday service as scheduled.
The concert is at 7:30 p.m., and final departures to keep in mind on Saturday night include:
- Last light rail trains departing from Denver Union Station (Track 12)
- E Line – 1:56 a.m.
- W Line – 1:52 a.m.
- D Line – 1:48 a.m.
- Last commuter rail lines from Denver Union Station
- A Line – Track 1: 1 a.m.
- B Line – Track 8: 11:09 p.m.
- G Line – Track 7: 12:01 a.m.
- N Line – Track 2: 11:56 p.m.
- Last trip for Flatiron Flyer from Denver Union Station
- FF1 – Gate B-17 (underground bus station): 11:55 p.m.
RTD noted that Saturday is expected to be particularly busy, due the concert at Coors Field as well as a Colorado Avalanche game at Ball Arena and the Great American Beer Festival at the Colorado Convention Center.
Riders can find complete schedules for all bus routes, rail lines and other RTD services on the agency’s website.
