Scattered showers and storms Saturday, drying out Sunday and Monday

DENVER (KDVR) — The soggy week continues for Denver’s weather forecast into the holiday weekend, as some showers and storms are forecasted Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will stay mild, in the upper 70s and lower 80s all weekend long.

Weather today: Scattered afternoon storms

There is a cloudy start to what is going to be a very cloudy and overcast day. Scattered showers and storms will develop in the afternoon, although none of the storms are forecasted to be severe. With that being said there could be some heavy downpours and gusty winds between 1 to 6 p.m.. Otherwise, high temperatures max out in the upper 70s.

Weather tonight: Skies clear out

Clouds will start to clear out after dinnertime tonight making way for a sunny start to the day tomorrow. Overnight lows will be in the middle to lower 50s with winds out of the south and west anywhere from 5-15 mph.

Looking ahead: Drier with mild temperatures

It will dry out tomorrow with lots of sunshine as the Labor Day weekend rolls on. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s.

Sunshine will continue through Tuesday before some rain chances return to the forecast.

Although rain is in the forecast next week, the weather pattern does not look as favorable for widespread heavy rain like the metro has experienced the past week. Temperatures return to the 70s on Wednesday, and look to stay there into next weekend.
