DENVER (KDVR) — A search is underway for a stolen shuttle bus that hit an Idaho Springs police vehicle on Interstate 70 on Friday, according to the sheriff’s office.
The stolen Clear Creek County Roundabout shuttle bus crashed with a patrol vehicle that was on the scene of another crash, the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office said.
The shuttle did not stop and continued on the interstate, and the sheriff’s office said at 12:45 p.m. that the bus was “being sought by law enforcement.”
The sheriff’s office has asked anyone who sees the bus to call 911.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the two left lanes of eastbound I-70 are closed near Idaho Springs.
CDOT cameras in the area showed emergency vehicles on the scene.
No injuries were reported in either crash.
