DENVER (KDVR) — A semitruck crashed and rolled over near Rocky Ford on Sunday evening, according to a social media post on X from the Rocky Ford Fire Department.
The crash occurred just west of Rocky Ford on Highway 10.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including:
- Rocky Ford Fire Department
- Manzanola Volunteer Fire Department
- Fowler Rural Fire Protection District
- La Junta Fire Department
- Colorado State Patrol
A spokesperson for the agency told FOX31 that the driver had minor injuries and did not want to be transported to the hospital.
The semi caught fire during the crash.
Hazmat crews are on the scene of the crash, as the truck was carrying lithium batteries.
