Suspect hits multiple vehicles during wrong-way pursuit on I-25: Sheriff's office

DENVER (KDVR) — Investigators are on the scene of a crash resulting from a driver leading deputies on a wrong-way pursuit on Interstate 25, according to a post on X from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said that around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation on the south side of Loveland.

The driver of the vehicle allegedly fled from the deputies and began to drive the wrong way on the interstate.

Deputies chased the suspect, who was reportedly driving south in the northbound lanes of I-25. During the pursuit, the suspect hit multiple vehicles, the sheriff’s office said.

One driver who was hit by the suspect’s vehicle was taken to a local hospital.

The sheriff’s office said deputies were eventually able to perform a PIT maneuver, stopping the suspect, who was then taken into custody.

Northbound I-25 is closed from Milepost 245 to the exit for Berthoud, while crews are in the area.
