DENVER (KDVR) — The actors who played Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry in the oft-lauded “Lord of the Rings” trilogy films are coming to town for the 2026 Fan Expo Denver.
The four actors — Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd — will be reuniting for “An Evening with Hobbits: In Celebration of 25 Years” for what Fan Expo Denver is calling a “once in a generation experience” that it expects to sell out fast.
Speaking of tickets, those will be on sale Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. through this link. General admission tickets are priced at $20. Silver tickets ensure you have a seat and cost $59. A gold ticket, which ensures priority guaranteed seating, will cost $139.
The exact date and time of the event is still “TBD” according to Fan Expo Denver’s website, but the 2026 Fan Expo Denver is scheduled for May 28 through 31 at the Colorado Convention Center. According to the event’s celebrities page, Monoghan is scheduled to appear on Friday, and Astin and Boyd are both scheduled to appear on Thursday and Friday. Dates were not provided for Wood.
Other options include the backstage pass with the cast for $799. The pass includes a gold ticket to the panel discussion, a professional photo-op with all four hobbit actors, and one guaranteed in-person autograph from all four of the actors. Other packages include:

The Lord of the Rings hobbit actors are the first of the 2026 Fan Expo Denver celebrities to be announced. The 2025 event featured William Shatner of Star Trek fame, John Boyega from Star Wars and six Superman actors.
