DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado has been known as a top moving destination for years, and while that has slowed recently, one place in the state is among some of the hottest zip codes to move to in the country.
According to a study from MovingPlace.com, Parker’s 80134 zip code south of Denver is in the top 10 moved-to zip codes in the U.S. so far in 2025. From the beginning of the year to the end of May, the Parker-area zip code had 2,961 newcomers, putting it the No. 7 spot on the list of hottest zip codes.
“This suburb is favored for its open spaces and a community-focused lifestyle reflected in a packed calendar of events from Parker Days, a carnival drawing over 100,000 attendees, to tree-lighting ceremonies,” the moving company said, describing Parker. “Residents benefit from a balance of suburban living with easy access to Denver’s urban amenities, job market, and outdoor recreation in the nearby Rockies.”
Parker was joined on the list by six zip codes just in Texas, as well as one each from California, Arizona and Florida.

According to MovingPlace.com, suburbs are dominating places people are moving to, and urban cities are trailing.
“For many Americans, it’s not just about leaving the more expensive city, but finding a lifestyle that feels more comfortable and manageable as well,” the company said. “Larger yards, quieter streets, and access to good schools make these suburbs attractive options for families and remote workers alike. With urban centers often crowded and costly, not to mention more dangerous, the edges of metro areas are becoming the go-to spots for people looking to put down roots.”
Recently, Denver was rated among the top cities people are moving out of, but MovingPlace.com’s study also took a look at state-level data and found several Denver zip codes among the top moved-to places.
