DENVER (KDVR) — A fast-growing restaurant known for its cheeseburger sliders is expanding to Colorado with its first store in the state opening this fall.
Smalls Sliders has locations across the South, with restaurants from Texas to Georgia. Now, the restaurant is opening its first location in Colorado, with the bright orange shipping container setting up shop in Northglenn.
The burger joint is known for its cheeseburger sliders, seasoned waffle fries and milkshakes, as well as the recognizable shipping container, known as the “can,” that sits on top of its restaurants.
On Tuesday, the restaurant had its celebratory “can drop” at 1831 E 120th Avenue in Northglenn, which is where Smalls Sliders will open its first Colorado location this fall — and Northglenn likely won’t be the only location.
Francise partners have plans to open locations in the Johnstown and Green Valley Ranch areas as well. These locations will join several restaurants in Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.
While the restaurant had its can drop on Tuesday, it isn’t open yet. The restaurant said it would have its grand opening this fall, before the holiday season.
