Unknown suspect shoots at pair arguing in parking lot, injures 1: Aurora police



DENVER (KDVR) — A man was shot in the leg by an unknown person Saturday afternoon after he was arguing with a woman in an apartment complex parking lot.

The incident reportedly occurred at about 4:17 p.m. in the 3500 block of South Zeno Way, which is just off of Hampden Avenue near the intersection with South Tower Road.

The Aurora Police Department said that a man and a woman had been arguing in the apartment complex parking lot when an unknown male suspect with an unknown connection to the argument “approached and fired several shots at the man before running away.”

The victim was able to drive himself to the hospital with the shot in his leg, but is expected to survive.

As of 6 p.m. Saturday, the Aurora Police Department did not have suspect information to share, and no arrests had been made. Detectives with the “gun violence suppression team” responded to the scene and are leading the investigation.
