DENVER (KDVR) — A serious crash is causing traffic delays on Interstate 70 near Airport Boulevard on Thursday morning.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said just before 9 a.m. that the westbound side of the interstate is closed between Tower Road and Airport Boulevard due to the crash.
The Aurora Police Department said it was a “serious motor-vehicle crash” and asked the public to avoid the area.
CDOT cameras show traffic backing up on I-70. Some drivers are getting by the crash one by one using an exit ramp.
There was no estimate for when the road will reopen.
