Young fan tears up after receiving player's glove at first Broncos game

DENVER (KDVR) — A young Denver Broncos fan attending her first-ever Broncos game had a day that she will never forget.

Everybody remembers the first time they went to watch their favorite team in person. It is a milestone in the lives of sports fans across the globe, with some people waiting decades for the opportunity.

For eight-year-old Pola Clarke, that experience was taken to the next level after she was given one of the gloves worn by wide receiver Courtland Sutton during the game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

As Sutton walked to the players’ tunnel, he handed his glove to Clarke as she held up a “My First Game” sign featuring the Broncos’ logo. She became overwhelmed with emotion and broke into tears of joy.

Sutton was making plays on and off the field, playing a big part in the Broncos’ win with six receptions for 61 yards, including one touchdown reception, while also — maybe unknowingly — making a fan’s day with more than the win.

Dan Clarke, Pola’s dad, honed in on his fatherly instincts and recorded the sentimental moment at the chance that she received the glove — he was rewarded for his efforts with a prideful memory.

“Her proud father and proud Bronco fan! What a man,” said Clarke about the video and Sutton, in an email to FOX31.

A day that will forever be remembered by the both of them — heck, they even made it to the jumbotron.
